The ‘Towards a 10-year vision for Global Data Infrastructures’ Workshop is taking place in Stellenbosch, Cape Town on October 23-24, 2010 with the aim of harnessing the global expertise that exists in the field and to mobilise data infrastructure stakeholder communities to foster a better understanding of the technical and organisational/policy challenges that need addressing to arrive at advanced infrastructures over the next ten years.

This two-day workshop, organised as part of the GRDI2020 project in collaboration with GRL2020, will provide a platform to identify the direction in which data infrastructures should evolve and the necessary instruments for making this possible.

The event will be co-located with the 22nd International CODATA Conference “Scientific Information for Society: From Today to the Future”.
